Avoid a Large Down Payment

In Common Questions, First-Time Home Buyers, Qualifying for a Mortgage, Uncategorized

Survey after survey states that the main obstacle preventing people from buying a house is that they are unable to save enough for a large down payment.  How would you like to only have to pay a small down payment, or no down payment at all? We can show you how to avoid a large down payment and buy a house today.

We have loans available that only require a small amount for the down payment (not anywhere near the 20% that many people think they need), and we also have down payment assistance programs available that will cover all of the down payment.

Here are some details about those loans and their down payment requirements.

Our conventional loans (non-government loans) only require 3% down.

Our FHA loans only require 3.5% down.

Our VA loans don’t require any money down.

We also have several loan programs available that will give you a grant or a second loan to cover the entire down payment.

We can give you information about gifts from relatives to cover your down payment.

We can also give you information about borrowing from your 401(K) for your down payment.

There are a lot of ways to pay for the down payment when you buy a house.  Don’t assume you can’t buy a house just because you don’t have enough money saved for the down payment.  The down payment is often quite a bit less than you might think.
